To my shame I knew very little about Josephine Butler, but this beautifully written book has remedied my ignorance. An incredible woman who needs to be remembered, honoured and respected. Helen Mathers has written a heartfelt account of Josephine Butler's life and legacy and has brought her spirit to life. I absolutely loved this book, it should be essential reading to anyone who cares about the plight of vulnerable women and about how our treatment of others reflects upon ourselves and the culture we shape. Unforgettable and vital.
